Biography
Sakib is an Interdisciplinary Engineering/CS PhD student advised by Dr. Mohsen Moghaddam (AI/XR) and Dr. Octavia Camps (Computer Vision). His research focuses on the convergence of Computer Vision and Human-AI collaboration within the realm of Mixed Reality. Specifically, he is dedicated to developing cutting-edge methods for egocentric activity understanding from multi-modal data. These methods will contribute to the creation of intelligent mixed reality systems that assist and guide humans in various tasks. Prior to joining Northeastern, he gained valuable industry experience at Samsung Research. He completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at KUET in Bangladesh.
Outside of work, Sakib is an enthusiastic cricket fan. He spends his free time cheering for his favorite teams and analyzing games. Additionally, he has a passion for exploring new places and indulging in diverse culinary experiences.
